“Chief Outdoor Officer” of Campspot
Campspot, a travel destination for camping, glamping and RV resorts across the United States, is looking for a “Chief Outdoor Officer.”
The company has created a position of three months to give the selected candidate the opportunity to live abroad for the duration of their stay abroad. However, this position has one function. You have to love camping.
The position comes with a $10,000 travel allowance, a $2,000 monthly stipend and an assistant to manage the real-time inventory. This summer the COO will also have the opportunity to choose from Campspot’s best products.
“Our travelers told us they wanted to see new places and travel more this summer, but we also know it can be difficult to prioritize this time between the realities of work, to-do lists, kids’ activities, and everyday challenges,” said Erin Stender, Campspot’s Chief Marketing Officer, in an email.
According to the Tender, applicants must submit their most interesting “Out of Office” emails, no more than 150 words, by June 30, 2023, 11:59 pm CT. They must also be 21 years of age or older. The winner will be selected and notified by July 14, 2023.

According to Colleen Pace, director of sales and marketing for Visit Greater Palm Springs, this recommendation shows how travel publications continue to evolve from “things to do” guides, to providing in-depth reporting on growing interests such as trusted travel, local businesses and community participation.
Each of the five nominees will be paired and mentored by an experienced journalist. They will also have the opportunity to publish their travel stories on the Greater Palm Springs Travel blog.
These mentors will include freelance writers and staff writers and editors from a variety of regional, national and niche media outlets.
“We wanted to make sure that different types of journalists are shown so that students can hear about the different paths they can take in journalism,” said Pace.
Five combined trips will be held over the weekend of September 15 and 22. Applicants must rank their top travel interests to be matched with the trip (and instructor) that is right for them.
Applicants of all nationalities and abilities are encouraged but must be at least 18 years old and a resident of the United States. Enter this link by midnight PST on June 16, 2023. Winners will be notified by June 23, 2023.
