I admit I’m biased, because it’s home and I’ve lived there for many years, but I don’t think there’s any other special city in the country. It is also home to some of the best hotels in Georgia. The downtown area itself has many residential opportunities. Today, we have a beautiful hotel located in the heart of the old city of Savannah: The Present Hotel.

The name is certainly appropriate, as this place is a gift in itself! It’s a great place to stay for a Savannah getaway.

The Present has 15 guest rooms in a large hotel, located in the heart of downtown Savannah.

There are also several condos with large groups looking for more space.

The hotel is located on River Street, the famous cobblestone street that runs along the Savannah River.

It’s also just a few blocks from beautiful Forsyth Park, a 30-acre green space that’s the city’s oldest park.

One place worth visiting for many tourists is The Lady & Sons. This downtown Savannah restaurant is owned by celebrity chef and Georgia native Paula Deen.

The family-style restaurant features many classic Southern dishes.

The city of Hostess has many museums that are worth a visit, especially if you like old buildings.

One of my favorite museums in Savannah is The American Prohibition Museum. It is home to hundreds of artifacts related to Prohibition and bootlegging.
