Waldorf Astoria Versailles
The Waldorf Astoria Versailles is a luxury hotel that has two buildings: the five-star Trianon House and the four-star Pavillon du Trianon, both of which offer great accommodations and amenities. The Trianon building has 85 rooms and 15 suites and has the opportunity to offer guests a view of the wonderful grounds of Versailles. It is also home to a pool, an excellent restaurant, a bar, and the phenomenal Guerlain spa. The Pavillon du Trianon has 99 rooms, which overlook the gardens of the hotel, and are connected to the Trianon Palace by a path, so it is easy and quick to get from one to the other. The rooms and suites are similarly decorated, comfortable, and simple in both buildings, which makes choosing between them very difficult. But no matter which one you choose, you will be in a 10-minute walk from the entrance to the Palace of Versailles.

Hotel Le Louis Versailles Château MGallery
Expedia’s top-rated Versailles hotel, Hotel Le Louis Versailles Château MGallery is a few minutes’ walk from the Cour d’Honneur, the area where visitors board to enter the palace. But the location of the place is its second best asset after its interior decoration. The hotel’s jewelry box is undeniably modern, but it’s not as cool or understated as some of the modern things out there; instead it features warm-colored wood, sparkling chandeliers and mirrors, soft and plush velvet, and a palette of deep and rich gold, green, and gray that make the space harmonious and elegant. If you want to feel like you are living in a palace, this hotel will do the trick.

Hotel Le Versailles
Hotel Le Versailles is a four-star hotel located away from the main entrance to the palace, making it the perfect place to stay for those who want to spend a day or two exploring the area. In fact, it is the closest hotel to the palace! Although the building is modern, with modern and modern furnishings, there are many modern features that remind visitors of the Palace of Versailles, including richly embroidered, gold-colored fabrics, and large, blown-up pictures of the palace and its gardens. There is a bar and a pleasant terrace where guests can relax after a day of sightseeing, and while there is no restaurant on site, there is a buffet breakfast every morning.

Mercure Versailles Château Hotel
Located a 15-minute walk from the palace and a 10-minute walk from Versailles Rive Gauche train station (where the RER C train will take you to Paris), Hôtel Mercure Versailles Château is an affordable and modern place for short-term visitors. With only 60 rooms, this hotel, which was tastefully renovated in 2020, is on the small side, but it offers guests everything they need, from the room to the breakfast room, WiFi, laundry service, bar, and air conditioning. The decor in this house is simple, comfortable, with modern materials and inspiring colors and designs.

Hotel Des Lys
Hotel Des Lys is a small, three-star hotel with 39 comfortable and modern rooms. It is located 15 minutes from the palace and 10 minutes from the Versailles Rive Gauche train station. A daily breakfast buffet is available, and there is free Wifi.

Hotel du Jeu de Paume
The Hotel du Jeu de Paume is a very small, charming hotel of 16 rooms located 10 minutes from the palace. The budget hotel looks more like a large and pleasant family home than a hotel, and is reminiscent of a contemporary alpine chalet, with modern furnishings, colorful accents, and warm wood tones. The common areas – especially the lounge and fireplace – are simple and comfortable, putting guests at ease immediately. Breakfast is available, there’s free WiFi, and you’ll find a king-size bed in every room.
