In the wake of the uproar over Galveston’s passenger numbers, Carnival Cruise Line CEO John Heald has detailed where guests should vacation at the famous Texas port.
Despite recent rumors, advanced boarding is more common at the terminal, but it’s a bit different from what frequent cruisers may be used to at other home ports.
Carnival Cruise Line’s Most Important Cruise in Galveston
In response to guest concerns regarding early boarding Galveston, TexasCarnival Cruise Line brand ambassador John Heald has arrived with clear instructions on where to find selected cruise lines.
“Because of the exterior location of both buildings with a narrow balcony near the entrances to these buildings, Galveston has a very different approach than other ports may have.” Heal explained.
As visitors approach the entrance to Galveston, roadside attendants validate each visitor’s pass. If “Priority” is printed on the ticket, the guest will be sent to the “On Time” boarding line, regardless of the arrival time they may have chosen.
Inside the warehouse, the “On Time” corridor splits and all guests who go forward go to one line known as VIFP Diamond, VIFP Platinum, Suites, and Quick to Entertain to climb. Each of these groups enjoys the first advantage.
After guests have been properly identified and passed through screening, there are three main steps, depending on the type of boarding the guest has on the cruise.
Diamond and Platinum loyalty guests share one lane, while separate lanes are also available for integrated guests and Express for Leisure guests. These different lines help to drive each team.
