Carnival Cruise Line has reached out to guests via text and email to update them on the situation, and is encouraging guests to sign up for more information.
Carnival Panorama It has been delayed
Carnival Panorama it is currently experiencing a technical problem that affects the ship’s maximum speed, and because of this, it is not returning to its home port Long Beach, California on time for Saturday, June 3. Guests with subsequent bookings will receive messages warning them of the delay.
“The train will return to Long Beach later than planned and this will affect your travel,” the email said. Carnival Panorama he had to arrive and start the interview before 9am

Meanwhile, the cruise ship Vista was docked Cabo San Lucas, the last port of call on her current 5-night “Mexican Riviera” cruise, which left Long Beach on Saturday, May 27, and previously called at Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. Friday, June 2, should be a day at sea as the ship returns to California.
An email to the next guests on the beach says so “our team is working on a fix” which indicates that the renovation has not yet taken place. The problem may require further investigation or parts may be required before work can begin.
What About Passengers?
Passengers on the cruise were informed before departure that the ship’s maximum speed was affected, and that the trip to the port in Cabo San Lucas would be shortened by 30 minutes to allow more time for the ship to return to Long Beach.
A letter issued to guest rooms on Wednesday, May 31, shows the port call change and the ship’s expected return time to Long Beach.
“We are now expecting port in Long Beach at 9:30 AM, Saturday,” the letter reads. “We apologize for the change in plans and thank you for your understanding.”

Current information, however, shows the train’s expected arrival time in Long Beach to be 3:30 pm on Saturday. It is possible that this information does not reflect recent events, or that the arrival of the ship has been changed and the guests on board have not been informed of the change.
Guests on the next trip – a similar 7-night “Mexican Riviera” trip – are asked to sign up for voice notifications and will receive information by 6pm on Friday evening.

Carnival Panorama joined the Fun Ship fleet in 2019and its actual speed is 18 (21 kilometers per hour / 33 kilometers per hour).
At maximum speed, the ship can reach a speed of 22.6 knots (26 mph / 42 km/h). There has been no information shared about what speed the train would have with this technical issue as a concern.
This is not the first time Carnival Panorama it has had problems affecting the speed of travel. In In August 2021, the ship experienced a similar problem on the same trip, I change the port time in Cabo San Lucas and the delay back to Long Beach.
