This will be Loiselle’s last year as artistic director of SkirtsAfire after 11 years in the role.
“From the very beginning when we started the festival, I always knew it was a place for the festival to make things happen,” Loiselle said. “I also knew that after about 10 years I would want to give it to someone else to bring new ideas, new energy, new vision and I hope that someone can go further than I can.”
It’s not the end of Loiselle. He will remain with the festival to help transition to a new artistic director, whom he plans to hire soon. On top of that, he will direct the big show in 2024.
