An iconic hotel in Galway city center has been renamed but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming one of the city’s top hotels for tourists.
The former Jury’s Hotel no longer exists and has now been renamed the Leonardo Hotel Galway, which has been the case for many of his hotels in the UK.
A photo of the front of the hotel shows the new name as the company celebrates the start of business in Galway.

A ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday outside the hotel for their grand opening on Quay Street.
For those guests who are satisfied with Jury then don’t worry because you will get the same support from their experienced team.
With the Galway Races only a few days away, many will be searching for the best price for a hotel room in Galway.
Starting on Sunday July 31, racing fans will be filling the city’s top hotels and B&Bs as room rates are expected to rise.
According to Booking.com, 81% of Galway hotels are booked for Race Week.
Not all hotels will provide their full availability to Booking.com, but this site is a barometer of the level of demand for a popular festival.
The rest shows prices per night from €108 to €499 per night. The cheapest accommodation on July 31 is Eva Hideaway, a small B&B in Salthill, run by a host.
Currently the cheapest hotel is Flannery’s on Old Dublin Road at €209 per night for two single beds (breakfast not included).
The next cheapest is the Nox Hotel which is located off Headford Road, 15 minutes from the Racecourse and is priced at €210 euros a night.
Thirteen on the Green is the most expensive in Galway which is not surprising as it is a central location with rooms starting at €360 a pop for a standard en-suite room.
