Luxury Design Company Customizes Seabourn Pursuit
Attention to detail is just one of the things that promise to make Seabourn’s newest cruise ship, Seabourn Pursuit, an industry standard. The ship is similar to a ship Seabourn Venturewhich started in 2021. Both ships carry 264 guests in 132 suites, and are built to PC6 Polar Class standards, which allows them to operate in Antarctica and the Arctic.
The interior design of Seabourn Pursuit is owned by Tihany Design, a New York-based studio with a history of innovative ideas and products. The ship will have custom-made seats, for example, designed by Tihany and produced by the Italian company Roda, which combines Italian craftsmanship with the latest technology.

Seabourn Square, the ship’s entertainment area, features wood-paneled banquettes and seating adjacent to live trees, which provide a small gathering space. The space will also feature leather upholstery and a wraparound ceiling. The standard Swarovski telescopes help guests look into the distance.
The design of the ship’s Discovery Center, which will host educational tours, is inspired by the landscape of Antarctica, one of those sent in the future by the Seabourn Pursuit, and offers decorations such as graphic maps that give the area a focal point.
The line in early July revealed details of the ship’s design, amenities, and services 12 groups or suitesincluding three types of Veranda Suites, two types of Penthouse Suites, including Wintergarden, Owner’s, and Signature Suites.

Additional features guests will appreciate include the custom-made switches on the antique-style bedside light, leather-trimmed paneling, and the wood-like tiled floor. The two-story Wintergarden and Grand Wintergarden Suites will have a carved staircase leading to the bedroom.

The ship’s main lounge, the Constellation Lounge, pays homage to the night sky and offers 270-degree views. The metal and stone are decorated with velvet banquettes and reclining chairs.
Ship Will Be Sent On Antarctic Voyage In October
As with the Seabourn Venture, the new ship will carry two submarines that guests can board for underwater exploration, along with 24 Zodiacs that can accommodate all of the ship’s guests at once for shore excursions and landings in remote areas.
Seabourn Pursuit departs on August 12, 2023, with an 8-day Tyrrhenian Isles & France cruise. The ship is expected to remain in Europe until September on several Mediterranean cruises to Italy, France, and Spain.
The first voyage of the new ship is scheduled for October 24, when it will embark on a 35-day “Amazon to Antarctic” voyage, putting the ship on a series of trips to the Antarctic this winter.
The 11-day “Great White Continent” departing on January 18, 2024, for example, makes a round trip from Buenos Aires, Argentina, with five days of sailing in the region, in the Antarctic Sound, Bransfield, Strait, Gerlache Strait, and Lemaire Channel.
Seabourn Pursuit will also offer cruises Down Under, in the summer of 2024, on six 10-day voyages to the Kimberleys, located in northwest Australia between Broome and Darwin. Seaabourn is a brand or Opinions of the company Carnival Corporation.
