British cruise line P&O Cruises has introduced variety to its beverage packages with four new options for guests to choose from to quench their thirst.
Each package is available for trips of five nights or more at a fixed price per passenger, per day, offering great value for every traveler based on their drinking preferences.
New Drinks From P&O Cruises
P&O Cruises is introducing four new drinks, each with a different category to satisfy guests’ preferences, and ensure passengers have the best value.
For a long time there have been complaints from cruise guests that the beverage package can be too limited, except for coffee, juices or expensive tea, milkshakes and other drinks in the non-alcoholic package, or not including many expensive spirits or wine even in the additional alcoholic drinks.
Now, new packages from P&O Cruises offer more customization of guests’ beverage options and what’s included in each.
The “Refresh” package is a cheaper and more restrictive option, including soft drinks and juices. This package is only $9.85 (about $12.25 USD) per person, per day.

The next upgrade is the “Alcohol Free” package, which includes all drinks from the Refresh package, as well as a wide selection of premium sodas, coffees, and teas, for £22.45 ($27.91 USD).
For guests who want to enjoy a refreshing drink, the “Classic” package is priced at £40.45 ($50.29 USD) and includes spirits, wine, and premium cocktails, as well as all drinks from the previous two packages. A 20% discount on any drinks not included as part of the package, giving guests an additional discount on expensive drinks.
Finally, the £49.45 ($61.48 USD) “Deluxe” package is the most inclusive package of all, including all drinks in the previous three packages, many cocktails, spirits, and wines, and a 20% discount on everything. – including drinks.
All prices are per person, per day, when purchasing a cruise. If purchased on board, each package will cost a little more per day. All packages must be redeemed for the duration of the cruise, and are not available at the recommended daily rate.
Guests who purchase a “Classic” or “Deluxe” package will also receive a free “Refresh” package for any children 16 years of age or younger traveling on the same party.
Restrictions Still Apply
In addition to the limitations for each type of package based on the types of beverages included, there are other limitations that apply to each package.
For example, all adults in the same household should buy the same beverage package, even if there are differences in their drinking preferences.

This will make the most expensive packages less valuable, for example, if the adult doesn’t drink alcohol but their traveling companion does, because they both have to buy one of the cheaper options.

All packages also include 15 drinks in any 24-hour period. This reduction is common on beverage packages that include alcohol as a way to reduce dangerous or disruptive intoxication, but is rarely used on non-alcoholic packages.
Drink limits per day also help reduce illegal drink sharing on packages.
All Packages Coming Soon
The new drinks are being introduced for the first time in P&O Cruises’. Ionaalso Venturaas of May 20, 2023.
The new options are expected to be available on the remaining five ships in the fleet by July, although the exact date for each ship has not been announced.
It is possible that changes to the schedule may be made based on guest feedback on the new packages and the popularity of the different options.
