Design inspiration
Located on the hillside of Porto’s Lapa, the new Renaissance Porto Lapa hotel offers panoramic views of the city and easy access to the Lapa Church.
Local architecture firm Visioarq Arquitectos and interior designers Broadway Malyan were behind the design of the hotel, which draws attention to the city it is part of. Designed as an ‘Art House in the Park’, the space combines the theatrical beauty of the genre with pastel pink, champagne gold and a touch of petrol blue paying homage to the Douro River.
The interior of the hotel features local design elements such as old Portuguese tiles and original artwork from Portuguese artists, including tiling by Pedrita Studio.

The hotel has 163 elegant guest rooms and suites with champagne color, floor-to-ceiling windows and walnut wood floors. Each guest room is equipped with a flat-screen LCD TV, a hi-fi system, a work desk and a USB port. The four suites each have a private balcony.
The accommodation is complemented by a restaurant and two bars, which celebrate Portuguese cuisine.
