Emily Bear, the 21-year-old singer from Rockford who rose to fame as a young singer, announced on Instagram that she is accompanying Beyoncé on her Renaissance Tour.
Bear announced he was dating the pop icon in an Instagram post captioned “keeping secrets is fun”, marking a new high in the high-profile career.
Bear was born into a musical family and began singing and writing at a young age, making history when he was a finalist at the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park at the age of 5.
Known for his works in classical, jazz and traditional music, Bear took the stage at some of the world’s most prestigious venues before the age of 10, including Carnegie Hall and the White House.
Bear won the Grammy Award in 2022 for Best Musical Theater Album, honoring his work on “The Unofficial Bridgerton Musical”, written by Abigail Barlow.
2022 brought even more fame for Bear, who was also awarded an Emmy for his work in documentaries for PBS, when he was also named in Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” list.
Beyoncé’s Renaissance Tour will stop in Chicago at Soldier Field for two shows on July 22-23.
