The San Diego Comic Convention, hosts of the world-renowned San Diego Comic-Con, recently announced an exciting new project that promises to take the comic universe to greater seas.
In partnership with Entertainment Cruise Productions, the agency is introducing “Comic-Con: The Cruise,” a fan-favorite cruise aboard a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. This flight is scheduled to depart from Tampa, Florida.

Comic-Con is an annual comic book entertainment convention San Diego, California. Since its inception in 1970, the conference has grown to become one of the largest and most popular conferences in the world. Cruise and Comic-con fans will be happy to know that Comic-Con will now go on a cruise with Comic-Con: The Cruise.
In February 2025, fans of popular culture will be able to sail aboard Royal Caribbean’s Serenade of the Seas on a cruise to Cozumel while enjoying original entertainment and one-of-a-kind experiences. All of this is provided by Comic-Con’s favorite stars and creators.

Throughout the cruise, fans will have the opportunity to interact with some of the most famous people as they come down the stage to join the party.
“With a strong history of creating comic book events at sea, we are thrilled that Entertainment Cruise Productions has made Comic-Con: The Cruise a new kind of cruise.” said David Glanzer, spokesman for the popular event.
“The ECP team shares our passion for transformational events and technology programs, and we’re excited that they’re building something so amazing.”
Which stars will be on the tour is still a mystery, with Comic-Con promising to reveal more in the coming months.

Comic-Con: The Cruise is set to be full of events and activities, offering a unique combination of fandom and relaxation. The tour will be filled with panels and Q&A sessions, competitive games, karaoke, trivia, and more. Each night will feature themed and cosplay parties and performances from popular bands and DJs.

The ship departed Tampa, Florida, on February 5, 2025, at 90,090 tons. Serenade of the Sea, a Royal Caribbean International cruise ship with a capacity of 2,476 passengers. The ship will sail Cozumel, Mexicoand return to Tampa on February 9.
Historically, San Diego Comic-Con has seen tickets disappear as quickly as they become available due to the popularity of the event and the number of attendees it can receive. With reservations for Comic-Con: The Cruise now open, those interested will need to act fast to secure their spot.
Comic-Con Prices: The tour starts at $990 per person (double occupancy) and includes all performances, interviews, parties, and events, along with meals.
