With the weather soon to be warm, mission families are looking for the perfect place to spend a day at the beach. A Connecticut beach that made Family Destinations Guide’s list of best beaches might just be the place.
The Family Destination Guide is a website that aims to help its guests plan their vacations, including where to visit and eat, as well as the best hotels to stay. To come up with this list, the website surveyed 3,000 adults by age, gender and location.
Stonington’s duBois Beach came in at No. 92 on the list. The beach features a gazebo, a permanent dock and lobster jets. It is located south of Water Street in Stonington Point. The beach also made the Boston Globe’s top 20 beaches in New England in 2018.
“You will enjoy beautiful views of Stonington Harbor, Fisher’s Island Sound and Little Narragansett Bay,” according to the Stonington Borough website.
DuBois isn’t the only Connecticut beach to make the list. Ocean Beach Park in New London made Travel + Leisure’s “Best Beaches in the US” list last year.
