Just five minutes’ walk from the Surrey border and the hotel’s guests can’t stop walking. Described as ‘amazing’, ‘amazing’, ‘very popular’ and ‘very friendly’, the Aviator has been named in the top 25 hotels in the UK.
Hampshire’s most scenic resort has been ranked seventh in Tripadvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards which lists the best hotels on its website. With spectacular views of the runway at Farnborough Airport, as well as a superb location, customers rated the Aviator five out of five on the review site.
Although most of the winners are based in London, the Aviator was the only hotel in the home boroughs to feature in the list. Visitors to the award-winning property in Farnborough say they were immediately struck by the futuristic look of the building, as well as the stunning staircase in the lobby.

Downstairs is a stylish brasserie that offers a superb menu every day from 6pm. Alongside the likes of roast saddle of lamb, seared trout and hoisin-roasted tofu, there’s a range of mouth-watering meats and meats from Aldershot butchers, A Turner and Sons.
Cuts include 320g sirloin steak, 320g rib-eye steak, and 900g T-bone steak, all served with triple-cooked chips, ranch dressing, green onions and optional sauce.
As for the rooms and suites, the interiors are contemporary but rich and comfortable, with walnut, leather furniture and wet rooms with dark glass walls, granite vanity tops and chrome finishes. All beds are king-sized in the hotel’s Aviator Rooms and Aviator Studio rooms, or super king-sized in the Sky Suites, with Egyptian cotton sheets and pillows and duvets. Complimentary movies, a music library and wifi are included for all guests in every hotel room at the Aviator.
While there is no swimming pool or large spa, services are available at the resort including stress-relieving massages and facials. Located just a short distance from the M3, the hotel is easily accessible and has its own, free car park.
Tripadvisor awards its Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best to hotels with the most reviews above and beyond the opinions of people on the Internet for 12 months. Each winner has passed the standards of reliability and safety.
Less than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings have been awarded Best of the Best, which signifies excellence in hospitality.
Commenting on the award, Aviator said: “We would like to thank all our guests for their positive comments and comments that have helped us improve our services. We also want to thank everyone who makes our hotel special including our suppliers, friends and staff.”
