The 94-room Belmond Hotel Cipriani has a rich history. Opened in the 1950s by the founder Bellini, it is a bar that continues to be popular today. This is an outdoor Olympic swimming pool on the banks of the Canale di San Giorgio Maggiore, apparently due to confusion between feet and meters during construction. And on Thursday it was named the best hotel in the world with a new list that offers many places based on information that has been created from many brands.
The list, called Top 1,000 Best Hotels in the World, is by the French company La Liste. The rankings are not based on a judging panel that conducts individual tours, but a combination of customer feedback on booking websites, reviews published in travel magazines, international and local broadcasts, and other travel guides. It’s a brand similar to the methods the company uses to create a chain of world-famous restaurants.
