In commemoration of its 40th year of offering fun-filled holidays in the Mediterranean Sea, Princess Cruises plans to unveil two of the newest and largest ships in the line, Star Princess and Sun Princessin the Mediterranean in 2025.
Star Princess and Sun Princess Expect to Cruise the Mediterranean Sea
In honor of its 40th year sailing the Mediterranean, Princess Cruises will have two of its newest, most modern, and largest ships—Star Princess and Sun Princess– in the region by 2025.
Princess Cruises recently revealed the name of its second Sphere-class, larger ship 175,500 tons Star Princesswhich is still under construction at the Fincantieri shipyard in Italy.
The ship, carrying 4,300 passengers, is a cruise ship of Sun Princess (coming in at 175,500 gross tons) and is scheduled for its maiden voyage in 2024.

Sun Princess currently it is supposed to start in 2024. The debut of Star Princess scheduled for early August 2025, the ship will embark on a nine-day tour of Italy and Greece. Booking these two new ships, as well Majestic Princessit will open this year on June 1.

In the 2025 season, a Sun Princess will depart on a seven-day Mediterranean cruise, departing from Barcelona, Rome, or Athens. These trips will include visits to famous ports such as Istanbul in Turkey, Naples in Italy, and the Greek Island of Santorini in the Aegean Sea.
Modern, Modern Ships
The newest cruise ships, Star Princess and Sun Princesscome with the latest technology, including many features that meet the needs of today’s travelers.
As previously mentioned, both ships can accommodate up to 4,300 guests, and each vessel has more than 1,500 seats, including 29 restaurants and bars scattered throughout the ship’s 21 spaces.
The ship’s artistic design revolves around a large glass dome (“Dome”) that illuminates the main Piazza atrium. The piazza has been designed to provide dining and shopping opportunities for passengers Star Princess and Sun Princess.

The Dome is considered to be a single space with many areas covered with glass. During the day, riders can enjoy the indoor/outdoor pool under the Dome. At night, the pool is transformed into a stage that transforms into a modern entertainment venue with a fun, beachy vibe.
Star Princess It will also unveil a number of unique features, including creative culinary and beverage concepts, a grand casino, plus a two-story Lotus Spa.
Also, it’s fun Cirque EloiseA modern circus from Quebec, Canada, will be another highlight that guests on board these two ships can look forward to.
Mediterranean-Based Cruise Adventures
The Princess fleet will also be expanded to the Mediterranean by additions Emerald Princess, Majestic Princessand Princess Sky. These ships are designed to offer travelers a variety of regional itineraries, ranging from seven to 31 days.
Ports of departure include Rome (Civitavecchia), London (Southampton), Athens (Piraeus), Trieste (Venice), and Barcelona—offering passengers a wide variety of destinations.
Some of the tourist attractions offered on this tour include tours around Barcelona’s most famous (and unique) landmarks, the beautiful Vatican Museums, and the ancient Roman ruins.
Other places of interest include the ruins of Pompeii in Naples, rural areas such as Sicily, Marseille, and Istanbul, and let’s not forget the hot and sandy Red Beach of Santorini.
Also, newly launched in 2025, Princess Sky will feature a 31-day Mediterranean Marvel cruise with late-night (onshore) stops in Mykonos, Santorini, and Jerusalem/Bethlehem, enhancing the culture and nightlife experience for Princess’ Mediterranean guests.
